This week, the 14th edition of Integrated Systems Europe (ISE), the largest audio visual industry trade show of the year, takes place at the RAI Amsterdam on February 7-10 2017, and is expected to attract more than 65,000 visitors to more than 1,100 exhibitors. For four days, the newly extended show floor will be home to a community of manufacturers, distributors, integrators, service providers and end-users. ISE will cover over 3,ooo square meters (32,ooo square feet) of additional exhibition space compared to the 2016 show. ISE 2017, which is set to be the largest in the event’s history, will also welcome 135 new exhibitors.

The AV industry begins its year with ISE, a trade show where the commercial and residential AV technology worlds meet. It represents the opportunity for these attendees from around the world to see brand new solutions from industry manufacturers, along with those that are first being introduced outside of the U.S.

As for the show itself, this year, the Digital Signage Summit will further establish its involvement in ISE by presenting a half-day DSS conference at ISE 2017 on February 8th. The Immersive Technology Zone, premiering at ISE 2017, will offer a multi-sensory experience for visitors to the show and showcase virtual (VR), augmented (AR) and mixed reality (MxR) technologies. Produced and managed by Holovis, this is certainly a groundbreaking effort to bring these technologies that have been highlighted over the last year in the AV industry where visitors will be able to explore various immersive options available, including VR, AR and MxR, and learn about how they differ and the business challenges they can help overcome.

The Sports Venue Technology Summit puts digital signage and VR in focus, the event examines the technologies and processes underpinning the modern connected stadium. This event also covers augmented reality and mixed reality technologies. The Drone Arena returns to ISE this year where leading manufacturers will cover professional, commercial and consumer opportunities and showcase the latest in product innovation and developments in drone technology.

The closing keynote is also one event that is a must-see, as it will be delivered by Daniel Lamarre, CEO of Cirque du Soleil.
